"I can defend anybody, I can outrebound anybody."

Ajayi said something like that in one of the articles I read about him recently. It didn't sound as cocky as I just typed it, but he definitely believes in his ability to defend and rebound.

What a perfect fit for Shyatt's system. He's going to be a hell of chip to recruit around.

I'm already impressed with the first two recruits. The thing I liked the most about Shyatts first class at Wyoming was the physicality of the players he brought in: Ugo and Davis. It looks like he's doing it again.

It's like a dream come true, a basketball team that takes pride in defense and rebounding and has a couple of athletic big men in the middle to enforce their ideals.

I wonder who we get with the other scholies?

The way I look at it is if the remainder of the recruiting class are as good as the first two, this team will be amazing. The reason is we will also be getting a couple of players we hadn't counted on before with a healthy Adam Waddell, Martinez (who also sat out with an injury), and Washington (who sat out due to the transfer rule). I'm hoping Afam can also make it back close to 100%. Team depth should be better than we have seen for quite a while. If this team responds to the coaching staff as a "team", the Pokes will be very competitive this year. There is reason to have some optimism.
