I would keep Hawaii over BYU because fuck BYU, but Texas/Oklahoma are the only places to expand for football. This would be wise if the American conference collapses but I don't see any reason for the Big 12 to pick up more schools.

I'm probably in the minority here, but I'd love to see BYU re-admitted simply to reignite the rivalry and the passion that the history of Wyoming-BYU games have always possessed.

Big 12 is not expanding so it is a moot point. The only way byu should be considered back in the fold is if they are in desperation mode and absolutely must return. In which case, we put a 50 million exit penalty on them; we put a 100 million dollar penalty for joining a new, not yet established conference that consists primarily of current G5 members (i.e. forming new conference and leaving MWC in shambles), and we tell them to pound sand on their tv requirements.

byu is screwed. They aren't getting into the P5 and ESPN is cutting costs. byu tv ratings were on average with Poker, Beach Volleyball, and other G5 games. When their current TV deal is up and they aren't in a conference, things are going to look a little rough for them.

I say leave them until they realize they are totally irrelevant like the rest of the G5.

Fuck no, no 16 team conference. I'd rather have 8. 12 is okay. There's no money in TV sets for us, so chasing markets is asininely stupid. Let's just get back to what makes college football special, and play games against other schools that fans find meaningful.
