I wanted Wyo to hire Tedford who has proven he can win at a non-football school with an administration that doesn't give two shits about football compared to conference foes.

Here is the perfect example of why Wyo fans expect less and settle for crap, even without realizing it.
For you Wyo fans that cheer for a BCS team as well, why is it we are happy with Bohl being hired here at Wyo, but odds are you wouldn't be too happy if your BCS team hired him from the FCS?

This is not at all a bash on Bohl, so don't take it that way.
I think he may end up being a decent coach, but for now it is the same old story as before. Glenn was supposed to fix the program. He didn't. Christensen was supposed to fix the program. He didn't.
Bohl seems like he is saying and doing all the right things, just like Glenn did.

I don't want to risk it with a coach who hasn't been a head coach at this level (Yes LakeBison I know that Bohl and NDSU beat multiple REAL d1 teams the last few seasons). I want someone who has done it before and can do it again.
It would be a great story if Bohl works out and he leads Wyo to the promised land (whatever that is), but I would rather just have a coach that wins. I don't care how, I just want to win.

Having 'fans' who cheer for a P5 team first and Wyo second is why Wyo fans expect less and settle for crap. The BCS accomplished what it was set up for about 15 years ago, and that was BRANDING.

Who said anything about cheering for a BCS team first then Wyoming second? Your branding thing is irrelevant to what I am talking about. Except for the fact that they have succeeded in proving that the BCS turns out better football year in and year out.

Not sure I agree with all your points, but that comes from years of having my dick kicked in, as a Wyoming Cowboy fan. My expectations are guarded now more than ever. It starts at the top, and I think our AD is not the right guy - quickly leading Wyoming into the abyss of apathy.

Well said! I think Coach Bohl will get Wyoming back to the top and I think he will do it in spite of the "road blocks" in his way. I am so embarrassed and tired of the softness of the Cowboys for the last several years, I can't wait to see some of these teams come in here expecting more of the same and leaving with their noses bloodied.

umm, yeah. Joe Glenn said pretty much the same things. Then we decided that we couldn't recruit for that philosophy, so we hired DC and the spread to mask our inability to recruit. Glenn's long term offense was the problem, while the defense did what they could, they were out there too long. And I think his OC from Montana stayed behind to begin with, if I remember right.
