How much disrespect for Wyoming?

Yeah, that was more an exception than the rule. UNLV, with seven scholarship players playing street ball isn't that impressive to me.

I want to avoid Boise in the tournament because of their style of play. If they light it up from three, that's the weakness to our team defense. We bait people into shooting threes and contest every two. That's a great match-up for us when the team isn't hitting threes. It's bad when they are.
No argument here. Though, Boise has been playing great defense as of late. They'd held 4/5 of their recent opponents to under 50 points. They rank 3rd in the MW in scoring defense, only behind SDSU/Wyoming. They were 9th last season in the conference.

So yes, they live and die by the three. But if the Pokes play them in the semis, a solid offensive effort will be needed. Boise will not just hand over baskets like in the past.

Yeah, if we face them are we are very likely to face them, we'll have to hope they aren't draining the three. Our defense is great inside the three point line and average outside of the three point line.

I would rather face CSU in the semis, but I can't see anyway that Boise and Wyoming don't finish 2/3 unless one of us craps the bed down the stretch.

I think most people think that even though Nance is back that he won't play very well and we will still lose 3 of our last 4 games. So no one is giving us a chance. I think Nance is fine actually. Guess we will find out. He should be fine by tournament time in 3 weeks.

Yep. I just posted the same thing on the MWC board. It's just like the pre-season. All the media and opponents are betting that Nance is going to struggle. I just can't see that happening in the tourney. With the three weeks he's had off and another three weeks to prepare, I think he's going to be peaking about the same time the MWC tournament starts.

He's got lots to prove to people, from his knee problem last year to this, he wants to show everyone regardless illness or injury, Larry's the stud of our team, afterall he's only guaranteed 5 more games in his illustrious career and what a career it's been, sad to see this come to an end, but time to gear up and get even more games

First of all, we need Boise to beat sdsu to help us win the mwc championship.

And Larry Nance Jr has 4 games left in his career. He is going out with a bang. Its not gonna be 4 games of losing and re-acclimating to basketball. Hell he traveled with the team last week. Has been practicing. Gained weight. He is gonna start playing the best basketball of his career real soon.

frankly I don't care how many points we truly score just as long as it's 1 more than the opponent, which is what I'm looking at going into a game with a very pesky Fresno St....just beat em and move on, style points don't get us anything especially at this time of year, as we are seeing...lol
