Worst fan base in the league. Completely incapable of respecting an opponent.
Marks is a freaking stud though. He could get on a roll and carry them through the tournament.
Wyoming has 6 losses. Of those 6, two would be considered bad. Same as many top 50 RPI teams and fewer than many as well. SOS is screwing the pooch even though Wyoming beat the cupcakes.SnowyRange said:Disrespect?
Please.
What, we have a decade of top 20 finishes that should make everyone overlook our SOS and losses?
We are exactly where we should be in this conversation: having to win our way into the tourney.

My 4 year old daughter got lit up by grown adults for having a pink and green Wyoming hoodie on. BYU is an embarrassment. Once again, makes me cringe thinking of attending another game there.

I'm not buying it. Their offense requires their team to be hot from the three point line. Can they continue that for three games in a row? I don't think they can. They live and die by the three point line.

That exact same thought process could be used for Wyoming too. Outside of Larry, if our 3s aren't falling our offense can dry up quickly.
Boise beat UNLV in Vegas despite going 1/18 from 3 just last week.Cowboy Junky said:It's not even remotely similar. We win games because we hold people under 60. It doesn't really matter where the points come from, although they usually come from Nance.
Boise depends on the three ball. I can't remember a game Boise won when they didn't shoot well from the arc. They have to make threes to win.
We don't.

No argument here. Though, Boise has been playing great defense as of late. They'd held 4/5 of their recent opponents to under 50 points. They rank 3rd in the MW in scoring defense, only behind SDSU/Wyoming. They were 9th last season in the conference.Cowboy Junky said:Yeah, that was more an exception than the rule. UNLV, with seven scholarship players playing street ball isn't that impressive to me.
I want to avoid Boise in the tournament because of their style of play. If they light it up from three, that's the weakness to our team defense. We bait people into shooting threes and contest every two. That's a great match-up for us when the team isn't hitting threes. It's bad when they are.

So yes, they live and die by the three. But if the Pokes play them in the semis, a solid offensive effort will be needed. Boise will not just hand over baskets like in the past.

Yeah, if we face them are we are very likely to face them, we'll have to hope they aren't draining the three. Our defense is great inside the three point line and average outside of the three point line.
I would rather face CSU in the semis, but I can't see anyway that Boise and Wyoming don't finish 2/3 unless one of us craps the bed down the stretch.

I think most people think that even though Nance is back that he won't play very well and we will still lose 3 of our last 4 games. So no one is giving us a chance. I think Nance is fine actually. Guess we will find out. He should be fine by tournament time in 3 weeks.
