How many games you going to???

I hate to admit, a lot will depend on the ewe game at goat U. If there isn’t improvement, as much as it pains me, maybe none. Just being honest. And I love the super nachos, but it ain’t worth the trip for the disappointment.

I don’t understand why so many of you are basing the entire season on the game with the sheep. IMO it’s not the end of the season if we lose. The game atmosphere in Laramie is always fun and it’s great to see old friends. However, if we also lose to Northern Colorado, all bets are off for me.

A conference championship game appearance is the only thing that would help me forget a loss on opening day to the goats.

The price we paid to play them this year, being left behind, the victory lap they are taking after the settlement, opening day of year 3 under Vajayjay Sawful.

That's why, at least in my mind, that THIS Border War is so critical.

I know with NIL and the transfer portal that things can change quickly from year to year, but CSU is a perfect measuring stick for Wyoming to gauge if there has been any improvement.

CSU is likely going to be a mediocre to bad college football team this year. If we can’t beat them, then we aren’t really that much better than the last two years. What’s wild is that we can be a pretty bad football team this year and still win 7 or 8 games because of how bad our schedule is.

By and large, Wyoming fans are fed up with Sawvel. If they don’t see some signs of improvement in the opening game, there’s good reason to tune out and save yourself the misery of a third consecutive terrible season under Sawvel. Add in the whole rivalry thing, CSU ditching the MWC, and the lawsuit, a loss to them would just be a catastrophic start to the season.
