I was thinking about what changed between the third quarter and fourth quarter, where the offense went from brain dead to wired on Red Bull - It finally occurred to me that they went to the hurry up no-huddle offense (as opposed to the have a cup of coffee no huddle). San Diego State got tired - Wyoming didn't, and suddenly the offense physically dominated the game at every point.
Still, I've never seen an offense like this before - where its either on or off - no in between. I was thinking about why this happens - the only thing I could come up with was team speed - a certain level of speed on defense basically determines whether the offense works or not - it's like the freezing point with water.
Thoughts?
