Horsesh** officiating

So like most on here, I was super excited for the ASU game, only to be shocked at the result. It turns out, they are pretty good. No doubt, it has been a rough season overall. I did find it humorous and refreshing when Sawvel mentioned the Horsesh** officiating and some Horsesh** coaching. Both are true.

I was a freshman in our Dembo Sweet 16, and with that team and Roach, we truly enjoyed the good times. But I will say this as well. Wyoming has some great fans, but also some Horsesh** fans, we all know it. If you're going to call for someone's head, pony up some dough fella. Given some of the personas, I doubt you'll be missed by those who hear you screaming at the games. Remember the phrase "you can dish it out, but not take it"? Don't get all butt hurt on me now. Wyoming is a challenging place to manage, coach, play, and yeah, be a fan, no doubt. We've had limited success since the Black14, and it will never be that way again. Enjoy the highs, ride through the lows. Go Pokes!

I read this three times and I am still equally lost. Are you suggesting that some of the criticism of the staff this year was undeserved or are you suggesting that fans should ‘just ride the lows’ and accept it purely because we are Wyoming?

Personally, I see it this way: Sawvel was retained as HC to maintain consistency on a team that just finished 9-4 and would be returning the vast majority of the team. Sawvel and staff turned that same 9-4 team to a 3-9 team in a single offseason in what according to the computers might be the weakest MWC of all time (comparing Sagarin ratings, etc…). How is this objectively not deserving of criticism? Why should we in any way accept such a result for a coach that was hired purely to maintain the status quo?
