Still at #6. https://nevadasportsnet.com/news/re...en-north-dakota-state-gets-first-massive-test

Not quite pillow fight of the week stuff yet though as we have Northern Illinois and UTEP in this league as well. Plus Nevada is in the bottom 10.

This has got to be one of the worst FBS conferences in history of college football.

Some really bad football is being played pretty much everywhere outside of the Power 4 conferences.

Multiple years of NIL and unlimited transfers is starting to really concentrate all of the talent at the top. As bad as this Wyoming team is, they have a legitimate chance of finishing somewhere near the middle of the conference. And as bad as the MWC is this year, there are actually even worse conferences out there (MAC and CUSA).

The conference has the Pillow Fight of the Week this week UNR at UTEP) and possibly next week if things go poorly tonight (NIU in Laramie).

G6 conferences with teams outside of the ESPN's FPI top 100
AAC 3 of 14 (21%)
PAC 2 of 8 (25%)
SBC 7 of 14 (50%)
MWC 6 of 10 (60%)
MAC 11 of 13 (84%)
C-USA 9 of 10 (90%)

The successful / rising FCS programs -- NDSU (this year), and i suspect if Montana, Montana State, Illinois State, North Dakota and even Harvard moved up they are all actually better than these sinking long time bottom feeder FBS programs. I think it's more about culture and attitude than money or high paid coaches and administrators. Not sure why Sac State paid $5 million to move up. They had no culture of success.
