MONEY

Well they were scheduled to have 7 home and 5 road, which is normal for big schools as they don't have to split up their OOC time at home and on the road, but their game against So.Missouri got moved from Missouri to Nebraska because S.Missouri fired their coach, and didn't have the money to pay him the buy out. So they basically sold the game to NU.
NU is now hosting the game and with the money NU paid S.Missouri for moving the game to Nebraska, S.Missouri is paying out the contract of their old coach.

nobody sees the glaring discrepancy... how games are easier to win. so Alabama, who is also only playing 4 road games, gets an easier trail to the "national championship"

complete bullshat. but not much surprises me anymore, I just didn't think I would see this today.

I wonder over the past 10 years, if you compiled all the SEC home and away games, in comparison to the mwc... I would bet that the sec played 30-50% more of their games on home fields. LSU is playing only five road games this year.

they think they own football and rent or lease the sport to everybody else. pisses me off!

Not only that but there was a stretch of quite a few years, that the Florida Gators didn't even leave the state of Florida for OOC games. They played a bunch of small schools at home, then would go to Florida State or Miami once a year. The only time they left the state was in SEC play.

Southern Mississippi

Now here's some food for thought, look at Wyoming schedule from the 50's and 60's when we were a dominate program. Wyoming front loaded the schedule with home games and would play on the road for 4 or 5 weeks in Oct.-Nov. to avoid the bad weather. I'd love to see the dominate programs of today try to be successful playing a schedule like that. Cowboy tough personified.

the hunting season excuse, really doesn't make for good attendance in Oct
It also had to do with avoiding travel in bad weather for both Wyoming fans and opposing teams.

I'm pretty sure there is a rule against FBS teams scheduling Division 2 teams such as the Missouri Southern Lions. Although, admittedly I would tune into a Nebraska-Missouri Southern game to see a complete pounding.
