Get some balls, and don't give "the" release, until you have contacted the NCAA to investigate Mr. Blinksalotcockyfuck for tampering!

That would take a pair of testicles and we all know Burman has never had any.
I think this son of a bitch Burman already released him and hasn't come clean yet.

"Burman" and a "set of balls" in the same sentence just doesn't work. That idiot probably signed the release thinking it was paperwork for a new car to ride around in this year.

Hell, he could have released the whole team and thought he was signing refi papers on his house :willybs:

I think Thompson should be given the release and allowed to play right away. We fired DC. The players he recruited shouldn't be forced to stay here. These kids come to a school and develop a friendship or a bond with the coach that recruited them. The coach is fired and you expect the kid to sign on to the new coach?

How'd that work out for Brandon Ewing and all the guys who hung around for the Schroyer disaster?

Thompson came here to play in DC's spread offense. Now he has to play in a pro set? I wouldn't stay if I was Thompson.

Or don't allow his release to Utah only.( I think they can do that)

You can do a conditional release, but if he is already enrolled at Utah, Burman must not have done that. Must have given him his full release.

Thompson was given his release, but he can't play right away unless the NCAA grants a waiver regarding NCAA transfer rules. That's not up to Burman though.

If I wanted to take a new job because I thought it'd be the best option to further my career, I would hope my boss would allow me to do that. Doesn't matter if I'm right or not.

If the kid doesn't want to be here, let him go. He's old enough to make his own decisions.

Burman paid DC handsomely to hit the bricks- he lands a job at another spread and comes back to take his favorite horse out of our stable and Burman hands him the reins.
You are right Harlow, the kid is old enough to make his own decisions, and he's old enough to learn that commitments and decisions have consequences. He decided to take UW money, to put on brown and gold. He was part of the plan (for better or worse) for the team's future and some other kid wan't schollied at his position because he committed.
There should be consequences for kids that take schollies and then walk out on the team. If he wants to leave, fine, he's old enough to make that decision, but he shouldn't have been released with no consequences.
I wish I could say I was surprised that Burman didnt show any balls or brains here-

Agreed. It's not Jason Thompson's fault that his head coach got fired. He shouldn't be punished because Tom Burman made yet another disastrous hire.

bladerunnr, this clearly isn't directed towards you; but I read a lot from the Wyo fanbase in other posts about being "Cowboy tough" and doing things the right way and living up to one's word when it comes to recruiting and ethics and whatnot regarding Wyoming athletics. For those that espouse those virtues and still somehow look at Dave Christensen and not see a monumental piece of shit then you are a deeply stupid, incredible moron.

And I'm counting:
Heath Schroyer
Dave Christensen
Carrie Yerty
Zero conference championships in any sport

Tom Burman is a not only a dud but making athletics worse the longer he's employed at the University of Wyoming.
