It’s so pathetic that this cat just won’t see the truth. The kid just does not have the skill set to play at this level. Is there another coach in the nation that would have his team go 0-4 with the worst offense in the nation and not even consider a change at QB?
71 pct passing didn't hurt either.Once they started playing Tebow-ball....things got a lot better.
AFA is a shell of its normal self this season. While my opinion means nothing, I still think that our OC is terrible. That said, we have a bye week to heal up and take on a fairly beatable opponent on the other side of the bye. If Johnson is smart, which I am skeptical of, he will do more to retool his offense to fit the personnel he has (which, to his credit, is apparently what they did after UNT housed us): a bruising QB that comes alive after being hit a few times, a line that knows the read option game, and a TE that is going to be even stronger after two weeks of rest. Add Whaley (maybe) and maybe we can get to 3-4 wins this season. I am doubtful, but I am also mindful that our early schedule has, in retrospect, turned out to be a gauntlet. ASU, UNT, and BYU are all waaayy better than people projected. Idaho's game against Oregon was no fluke and they appear to be a top FCS team. This is called "stiving to always be better"...

I am still not sold that our defense can beat any team that has the ability to throw the ball - let alone throw and run the ball. Our secondary is hot garbage. Still. SDSU will be a huge test for Bohl to show us he's actually figured out how to coach up and defend against the forward pass. Hell, even AFA had a field-day against our craptastic back end on Saturday...
I saw the Idaho score after I posted. They were No. 4 but clearly fell off. The others, in fact, trucked us. I also see 3-4 wins total this year. Maybe SDSU and Utard State? CSU? New Mexico?Idaho lost to UC-Davis. They are no FCS powerhouse.
We were completely trucked by the other 3 and playing against backups by the 4th quarter.
But we do have the personnel to grind out games against bottom half MWC teams if we move to the power run offense and stick with it. I see 4 wins being the high end of possible.
