Hey Bohl/Vigen, run the 2-min offense

I would think its too predictable but anytime you see Wyo go to the Shotgun with 4 wide and an RB in the backfield, you know it is either going to be a deep pass or a pass to the sidelines. I've never seen a run or a screen out of this formation (well, maybe a qb scramble). The RB always blocks, never runs a route, never carries the ball.

Might as well go 5 wide and throw it. I guess we are seriously just trying to impose out will physically on the offense instead of trying to keep the defense honest.

In my opinion, I think it's a crime how under utilized Austin Conway is. Might be our best athlete on offense, and they do nothing to get him in space, or send him on some jet sweep that's high risk of lost yards. Need to get a few screens sent his way, get him over the middle with a linebacker on him, just something different than sending him on jet sweeps.

Or Jared Scott? The dude's 6'6, 225. Remember when Malcom Floyd was used to get mismatches on tall balls to the sideline, or occasionally in the endzone? I haven't seen a single such throw in quite some time.

Sure, his size makes him a [theoretically] solid blocker, but that doesn't mean that's all he can do for us.

I was saying this for the first few games but he doesn't look as quick and as shifty as he was the past few years. It looks to me that he bulked up at the expense of his unique skill set. Maybe it is just me but that has been my impression.

We should come out 5-wide and run the 2 min offense. What have we got to lose at this point?

I agree with this sentiment. In Bohl's first couple of years this is exactly what the offense did to adjust as the power run game was going nowhere. The only real risk at this point is a really quick 3 and out straining the defense (but the current offense is doing exactly the same so I say go for it).

Right. Or if you send him on a jetsweep, don't give him the ball. A fast WR in a jetsweep is always going to get the attention of the defense. Seems like a good time to throw a quick pass or hand off to the RB in the opposite direction of the sweep. I'd think it would make that play a little more effective when he does grab it.

I agree though - way under utilized. Dude has some speed and agility.

Highlights of Conway busting long runs are few and far between. Not just this year, but of his entire career. Quick and shifty, maybe early on. Even then, it rarely resulted in the big gainer.

Seems like he goes down when someone touches his shoulder pads too. We all got mesmerized by a few returns but I haven’t seen much
