Helmets are FINALLY done!

After many roadblocks the helmets are finally done, well at least one is fully done. The other will be done monday after the CSU game. I am waiting on a special decal . They turned out really well but I will probably not do them again. They were very tedious and I would need a better place to paint. My apartment doesn't work too well. Anyways, enjoy them and let me know what you think. Beat the Sheep!

Doubt it would my head though. Seriously, I'm one of those guys that if I had ever played football, I'd need a special made helmet for my big head.

Ha thanks! Ya it wouldn't fit. It won't fit mine. I ended up doing the youth riddell revolution helmet for sake of price. Pretty close to the adult size though. Only big difference is padding and the shell is a different type of plastic.

They are very dark. The flash on my camera washed out the brown so it looks lighter. I held the helmet up to pictures of the real deal and they are very close.

How much are you looking for and what's the odds we can find an RN sticker to put on the pack?

Ha this baby's not for sale. And I have been trying to get the RN sticker for two weeks. Once again mad dog is not letting me have one. I did manage to get the gild stripe for one of the other helmets im working on.

Oh my mistake I thought you said in the original post once you had material prices down you were going to sell them. Well if you do let me know also next go around should definitely look for a darker matte finish but the helmet still looks great.

No you were right. I did originally say I was going to sell them but after doing two full size and two mini helmets I am done ha. They were so tedious and time consuming I just don't have time to do more. The pictures that you guys are seeing are a bit deceiving as well as far as color goes. My cameras flash washed the color our making it appear lighter. The finish is actually very dark. I held it up the high res images of the real one and it is very close. Plus I sprayed the helmets matte black first to get an even darker finish.

that would be a wicked fun project on say a bike or motorcycle helmet :winky:
