While I am personally glad we are not the rainbow warriors, I am glad to see Hawaii go back to its distinctive name/logo. I compare their change to the "Warriors" similarly to our change to Praire Gold. I give Hawaii big props for going against the grain and embracing their tradition.

The football was the only ones who went with the Warrior name from 2000-2012. June Jones requested to the university to change the name back in 2000 to help recruiting.

LOL June Jones is actually a guy (although he did have some questionable off-the-field stuff while at UH). He's currently the head coach at SMU.
