Have to say now, before the season starts

If I were a betting a man, with a little bit of a gambling side, I would say Wyoming starts the season 4-1

wins:

lone loss:

nebraska... and I bet we get some attention during this game. I have to say we lose, but damn we got them in laramie, will be our measuring stick against tcu and boise.

Worst case scenario heading into the sandiego game, we are 3-2... sandiego will likely be 3-3, or 2-4... they do not have a nice schedule to begin. army, michigan, air force, tcu, washington state, cal poly. They may be fighting the injury bug by the time we face them, of course so could we, but we have depth at key positions

I believe we have the depth, and improved guard play, to have B+ running game.

jury's still out on how we will look in the air, however I think smith will make better decisions than acs did his freshman year. Acs took a ton of sacks. Really pretty easy to say that we wont get any worse in that department.

Just want to say it now, there is a better than average chance we start this thing 5-1.

Thank god for the schedule this year. The two 1aa's in a row to start gives us a chance to get our qb some game reps and film to study. I think we might have to lean on the defense a little to start the season, but the offense is definitely going to improve as the season goes on.

We're likely to have about 8 freshmen in the offensive two deep. They'll have to be playing near mistake free ball rather quickly. We can't afford to turn the ball over. One game with three or four turnovers and we could easily take a bad loss early in the season.

We definitely have a chance to build some momentum early on though. Weber State, Texas State, Bowling Green, UNLV, and Utah State will give us some W's, but we might need to win all five of those games with the teams coming up to end the season.

It's going to be key for our guys to take it one game at a time this year. We have the ability to finish 5-1, we just need focus and a little luck to see it happen.
