Hankerson's status still in the air

I sure hope he gets his shit together and can get back on the team. Losing 2 forwards would kill our already thin frontcourt depth.

There is still one player that will not be coming back, as Shyatt said after the last game that Wyoming will have one scholarship available in the spring. When Wyoming signed three players in the fall that actually made Wyoming be one over their scholarship level if you were just counting those against the seniors on the team, so I would assume that the player that Shyatt was counting on leaving when he recruited over him in the fall is still leaving, and I doubt that it was Vernon he was counting on at that time. The bottom line is that Wyoming will have at least one scholarship available in the spring, and who knows maybe even more after his meetings.

Seems to me that I heard something before this season about Sellers not coming back next year since he was graduating. Sellers saying something to the effect of his heart not being in it.

If the rumor that I heard about it being an actual plant instead of something already harvested was accurate, it seems like there might have a plan of future repeated infractions in play.

Does anyone really see him as being a starter? I would say a backup for Adams maybe. His repertoire of shots is limited and he doesn't appear to be that quick. His main advantage is experience.

I do. Charles' game was improving. He sat out a year, so was rusty to start the season, but improved throughout.

I see a starting rotation of:

Nance
Cooke
Adams
Grabau
Hankerson

Well, with Granberry and Sobey both graduating, with only Washington (the game got in his head down the stretch) and Bentz (a walk on) having much if any experience on the court, Hankerson, if he stays on, looks to be a starter. He has a decent 3 point shot, can slash to the rim, and has much needed size for a guard/strong forward.

Hankerson back on the squad. Haldorson gone. No big loss in my opinion. The kid has all the talent you need to succeed, but didn't seem to have the drive.

Vorel also said that it sounds like Hankerson won't be on scholarship, but will be on the team. I'm glad to hear that he's sticking it out even though the free ride is gone. Shows that he has his priorities straight.

If that's true, it also opens up another scholarship, giving us 2 to work with in the late recruiting period. I really hope the staff focuses on forward and center depth.

GOOD, but I want to see major improvement outta him and true leader on the team next year, welcome back Hank!!!

Good to hear he is staying.

I really hope Nance can play at 110% next season.

That line-up of:
Grabau
Adams
Hankerson
Cooke
Nance

with the backups being:
Lieberman
Washington
McManamen
Herndon
and the other freshman could be REALLY good.

There will be two first team players with Nance and Adams.
A solid bench, and solid play out of Cooke, Grabau, and Hankerson.
