Hankerson played efficiently.

Hankerson played well yesterday. He wasn't a game changer or anything, and didn't put up crazy stats, but when he was out there, the team just looked better.
I still think if he hits his stride, he can take Sobey's starting spot.

He was aggressive and smart and calm and collected. His biggest issue is his driving now, which is also his best thing he does.
He can take anyone on a dribble drive, but he loses the ball as he goes up for the lay up hoping he gets fouled.
He needs to be able to continue his drive and get a shot off attacking the rim. The good news is he misses? The defenders will be focused on his driving and attacking the rim so Nance will be able to get an O board.
OR, he can just dish it to Nance for a dunk down low.

Hankerson really needs to keep attacking, but hold on to the ball!

I agree hopefully he keeps improving. Granberry also played better I think....Finally started pulling the trigger. Needs to keep shooting. I would be happy to see Sobe on the bench. I know he is going through a slump and has shot better last year but so far this year he hasn't done anything on the court.

I agree. I posted about this a couple of times. If Hankerson will continue to be aggressive and create things off of the dribble this team is a lot better. He is actually a really good passer. I think the season depends on him and Granberry. If those two play well and fill their roles then this team is really good. If those two don't fill their roles then this team gets somewhat ugly.
Hankerson and Granberry are both big enough and athletic enough to play with any guards in the MWC. They don't need to fill up the stat sheet or anything they just need to fill their roles.

I have never understood why sobeys sees court time. He seems like a nice kid but rarely contributes in a positive manner. I've never seen someone miss so many point blank layups and he is not a good defender. I'd like to see hankerson, granberry, or Washington play themselves into his starting slot. To me you need to be more than a senior to start. His on court play has not warranted his starting

you can see it on those 2 faces Hank and Berry, that they want to explode but they remain calm and try to stay in the flow of the motion, there are times I think we could truly see high explosive abilities between the 2, maybe they're saving it for Conference season, but the way we'll be ok is to SHOOT THE DAMN BALL AND CRASH THE BOARDS!!!
but imo steady as she goes. Josh needs to go to the hole more often!!!
