2-1 -- Larry Shyatt Shyatt has said that he enjoyed his previous time in Laramie. Sports two national championship rings. Reported that he was being heavily vetted by UW early in the search process. Previous lawsuit is a negative, but many fans feel Lee Moon was as much to blame for that fiasco as Shyatt. Could have huge recruiting resources built during his year's with Donovan. Can he get the recruits to Laramie?
3-1 -- Mike Dunlap It all boils down to whether or not Dunlap wants to return to the region. May have other opportunities. National championships at D-2 Metro State, experience with the Nuggets, Arizona, St. John's, etc. although as an assistant. Proven X and Os guy. Can he recruit?
5-1 -- Joe Dooley Probably has more opportunities than UW. Previously served as assistant coach at UW and at New Mexico. HC at East Carolina. East coast guy. Does he want to be out West?
8-1 -- Blaine Taylor Reported he's been interviewed, but unknow if offer was made. Reported that he has a history of talking to anyone wanting to talk to him. Probably using UW as leverage with ODU AD, who he is slated to speak with in the near future. Native of Montana and has been reported he has family in Sheridan. How badly does he want to be closer to home?
100-1 -- Steve Gosar HC at College of Southern Idaho, the 2011 JC national champs. Native of Pinedale, former UW player and graduate assistant. If Burman wants to become a car salesman this is the hire he makes. Gosar supposedly has the backing of some high level boosters, but that is the only reason he has been mentioned as a candidate. Will probably get a token interview, but that is only to appease the boosters. No D-1 HC or even assistant coach experience that I'm aware of.
500-1 -- Jeremy Cox Assistant at S. Florida. Has not been mentioned as an official candidate. Native of Meeteetse. Former Billy Gillespie assistant.
