Gutwrenching!

Not to burst any bubbles about whether we lost by 20 or 30 or whatever last night, if you watched the game, with about 9 min left in the game and it was around 30 points that we were down, N Mex had 5 guys in that most of them don't even avg 10 minutes a game. (the bench) We had Jackson, Luster, Waddell, Thiam and Dermody in when the horn sounded and we were still down by 22. Not to beat a dead and I mean DEAD horse but that game could have been a beating by 40.

Exactly right 7220. There are no moral victories in getting beat by 20 points. A loss is a loss, whether it is by 10 or 50 points. We could have lost by 40 if Alford had wanted to stick it to us. Same with San Diego State. The program is in the worst shape in its history as can be evidenced by anyone trying to find positives in a 9-17 record. This team needs a new leader at the helm in order for us to escape the pigtail game that will be staring us down every year that this joker coaches the Pokes.

Jimmy..I appreciate your attitude, I really do. But there comes a point when you can try all the excuses in the world and the fact still remains that we are going nowhere with Schroyer. Our young guys are getting better? May be true but how about the other 8 teams in the conference..think maybe their young guys will get better too?
Call people whiney bitches if you will but I do believe I have earned the right to question the ability of a coach. I invest what little disposable income I have into season tics, CJC...hell I even volunteer to help CJC raise money. But I am not suppose to question or be concerned when I see a team that has 4 fold turnovers versus assists??? Come on man, why do you think the Cowgirls are successful?? It isn't raw talent going one on one. It's team play and discipline.
I guess I'll just pay up and shut up.

The problem with the "we are young" and "only a couple players even played last year" arguments is this: this coach has gotten us into that position. He has failed to recruit and retain players over his several years here that would keep us at a respectable (say, .500 overall) level of play in a down year. You can't excuse that. There isn't enough bad luck in the world to explain it.

Burman made a big mistake in this hire, and a bigger one in the extension. It will be a lead weight around the neck of his legacy here.
