they don't have a returning rb . their senior last year did all the heavy lifting, they are depending on a true freshman & converted linebacker with ZERO fullbacks.

last year Rush Off: Wyoming t77th (FBS) 153.2

UND 103rd (FCS) 116.4 (that was with a senior)

UND’s current depth chart reads true freshman John Santiago at No. 1 running back, followed by converted linebacker Kyle Norberg, a sophomore, at No. 2

UND will be a little unsettled at fullback, as well, against Wyoming. Expected starter Dustin Iverson has to sit the first two games of the season due to a suspension and potential backup Tyler Coyne suffered a season-ending leg injury early in camp.

And our rushing stats from last year are skewed because we couldn't pass. Even so, at the end of the year we were really pounding the rock down teams throats. Like 700 yards in the last 3 games.

They wont run on Wyoming, so feel free to load heavy in the secondary. :winky:
You have no clue what you're talking about. Hinojosa was a backup prior to the starter unjuring a knee. He was not the anchor of our defense at all. He had potential and long hair but not a lot in the way of production.

Our starting TE is more of an H back and has seen plenty of time at FB and is more than servicable.

Geaux_Sioux - You probably know more than I do about O and D line. Any insight. I know our D is supposed to be strong as a whole, but they certainly aren't oversized. As for the O-Line, I know they really came together at the end of last season and we got the run going. Care to elaborate at all?

no legit RB & zero FB = no running game doesn't take a brain surgeon from 109 or 117th ranked med school to figure that out :) https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=und+ranked+medical+school" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

ill bet $100 they get less than 200 yards vs Wyoming rushing.

Bohl, Stanard, Vigen, Coop & the rest know exactly how to win this game, there's really no reason to analyze it. I been on the WYO bandwagon since these guys took over.

good luck. ba bye.

You could be right, I hope not ... like I said they are unproven. Talented on paper, but we need to see what transpires on the field.

Cam Coffman, the starter this year, is on the list for one of the best years ever for an Indiana QB. Last years starter, Colby Kirkgaard (who was a loyal Poke) is the only QB in Wyoming history to lose to an FCS team. He was 3rd string at the time we lost to Cal Poly, but still.

Bohl seems to think the team is improved even though we are thin at some positions.

What is fascinating about that is I didn't think much of Colby because of that game. After last year, I realized that was a huge mistake. Dave Christensen lost that game more than anyone. With some attention, coaches that inspire some confidence, and a hole hell of alot of other factors a good mentor will provide, he was a good quarterback. If Bohl had gotten ahold of him 4 years earlier - he would have been dynamite. Brett should have stayed for that last year. I bet he would have been excellent.

Jesus - I hope so - if they can put 200 yards of rushing up on us - they will put 300 yards of passing up on us. I'd certainly hope that rushing yardage is quite a bit lower..

That was my exact thought. They better not get 200 yards rushing on us or its going to be a LONG season. This is not meant to be offensive, but if we can't stop UND's rushing attack we are going to get gashed by teams like Boise State...I would prefer to see them under 100 yards rushing...

Shit, I'll bet you 400$ we don't rush for 200 yds.

Our DL isn't that undersized. Missing a 300 lb back NT does suck but Greer is built like a horse and will be fine strength wise. We have a 280lb backup DE in Cieslak and a 270 lb backup DE in Johnson. Greeley and Dranka are just really good at football, who cares if they don't fit a preconceived mold.

I actually don't mind trolling; comes with the territory I suppose. Still, come on man, no need to bump a bunch of old threads and bury the current content (if that is your plan). Plenty of trolling material in the current topics.
