As a realistic option I think Gregg Brandon could do a good job, I think he has been pretty successful wherever he has been.

Personally I would like the state to pony up the dough to get the best staff possible top to bottom, without that we may not see any different results. We might be the toughest D1 job in the country. If a great D1 coach and staff are availabLe, PAY THEM, I see that as the only way we can compete. A good football team can generate money to pay for itself. If we want to be relevant we need to have the best therefore the highest paid football coaching staff in the MWC.

Agreed. I also think Brandon wouldn't be awful as a candidate if he would be open to it. I think it is important that a head coach at Wyoming understands the culture of Wyoming and has a plan for succeeding within the culture. Brandon has been a head coach before and also has been an assistant at Wyoming twice .

Brandon fizzled out at Bowling Green though. Started off hot, some good offenses, and then the bottom fell out.

I would see Brandon or even the guy at Illinois State as Schroyer-esque. Mangino might be there as well.
