It was a real pleasure meeting up with the many Cowboy fans here in New Mexico. You guys are unbelievably crazy fun and genuine. I hope your visit was fun (other than the game :tickedoff: ) Just like always, whether it be the UNLV BB tournament in March or any other gatherings you guys are fun people to be around! Hope NM was good to you all as well.

Go Cowboys!! Go Lobos!!!!

had a blast, ABQ has a great bar scene and was very hospitable.....i really hope to make the trip again sometime

Much appreciated NMSKIN. We had a GREAT trip and thoroughly enjoyed Albuquerque and the great people of New Mexico. They were friendly everywhere we went. We had two separate visits to our table at El Pinto after the game when they saw our colors. They wanted to tell us how much they like Wyoming, like Wyoming fans, and to express good feelings about our schools/states being together since the old WAC days, etc. Albuquerque is a GREAT bowl venue and New Mexico people are always good to be around. Thanks again.

Albuquerque knows how to put on a bowl game. My family and I had a fantastic time, other than the 3 hours we wasted in the stadium. If Wyoming ever goes back to ABQ for the bowl again you can bet that I'll be there!

Been there for both bowl games and when the bball team was in the NCAA tourney. We had a blast all 3 times. Poke Fans everywhere and plenty of hospitality from the New Mexico folks. Having the pep rally in Old Town was FAR superior to the stadium parking lot although it cost me dearly as my wife decided to go shopping. My two favorite bowls are definately New Mexico and Vegas. Not sure we'd see a great turnout anywhere else. I'd happily make an annual trip to Albuquerque if it came to it.

Fully agree, Dread. By the way, since you were at Old Town Plaza for the Bowl Pep Rally, hosted by ESPN, what did you think about no-show Christensen while the Temple Coach showed up and did a great job of talking about the game and addressing both groups of fans? Christensen should have been there but instead he sent a young coach who was TERRIBLY EMBARRASSING for Wyoming. The guy didn't want to be there and had to be dragged to the podium, while the Temple Coach, Addazio, was first class and impressive. Very poor showing for UW, on the coaching front, and that showing is solely on Christensen, who obviously doesn't care or doesn't 'get it'! His worthless excuse of being busy with ESPN interviews was even worse given that ESPN ran the pep rally. Thank goodness for the UW band, the dance team, and Pistol Pete for representing UW well. Not impressed with Christensen's representing of the university, at all.

Considering it was an ESPN bowl I don't think Coach Dave really had much choice. When ESPN decideds to do an interview you do it. So if you want to blame anyone blame ESPN.

I don't buy that AT ALL, TS. ESPN owns the bowl, no doubt, but they have a vested interest in seeing all the bowl activities they promote succeed and they, ESPN, promoted and MC'd the Joint Pep rally. They were kind and went along with Christensen's excuse but though it was vintage Christensen it was bad. He then sent a kid to represent the coaching staff who embarrassed himself and UW! Temple's coach showed up and did a great job for the fans. His interest was believable because it was obviously real. He represented Temple University very well while Christensen let UW down with his absence and terrible stand-in. Did you attend the Larry Shyatt kick off night after the UNLV game? Christensen's constant checking of his watch as Dave tried to interview him was terrible, but again, vintage Christensen. Hey, we got 8 wins and I'm happy about that but Christensen is a self absorbed guy who couldn't care less about fans other than occasionally acting like he 'might', in my opinion.

I'm sure ESPN places the same inportance on an on air interview(if thats what it was, i am assuming) and a pep rally that will be seen locally. Im even more sure that the television or radio people organizing the interview have nothing to do with the pep rally. ESPN is huge and im sure the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. your use of the term "vintage Christianson" tells me you're one of the people that is always harping on him being a jerk and doesn't want to be at Wyoming blah blah blah. So what if he doesn't ooze charisma in interviews. the few personal interactions ive had or have heard about with actual fans were that he was nice and friendly. He is just not outgoing like Joe glenn. I find his no nonsense approach refreshing. Have you heard gary patterson give interviews DC has ten times the charisma he has but i don't hear tcu fans ragging on him like some of our fans do.
