Graham Watson ESPN article on the pokes

This is good news. DC is making strides with this team. Hopefully they can take the Cowboy Tough seriously.

Career ending injuries? I know Sundberg is out, but that was before spring drills.

I like hard hitting practices...but it has its obvious downsides. As cool as it is to see Ward Dobbs on the field again, his presence and the other alumni actually kinda sets our defense back a lot.

That new article from ESPN, is one of the best articles I have read about the change over. For those who haven't read it, it has quotes from coaches, Burman, players, and doners about the differences in the coaching staffs.

I think it is very telling, and sure makes me excited about the new coaching staff. It should be real interesting after all the fall practices to see how much more disciplined are team will be with Christensen and staff.

My favorite quote was from Christensen. A doner asked him if he would be playing piano and singing with them after a doner function (as Glenn always did). Christensen replied "I'll entertain you 12 saturdays this coming year, 13 if things go well." I love that atitude, forget all the rah-rah stuff, just WIN games.

Wow, great article. That's pretty horrible with the lax coaching.. but I'm glad they're buying into DCs way of thinking.. and I like his attitude of, "if you don't like it, door's on the left."

I like the style and tempo, I like the expectations and demands, and I especially like the fact that because of these things, UW has a shot at getting back to the top of the MWC. I don't know if I dig Burman's comments about Glenn...but who knows was was really said, and how it was really said.

Another story from Graham Watson. Really good write up. Shows how bad things were last year. I'm actually a bit suprised. Doesn't paint Joe Glenn too good.

Thank you for posting that article!! That is what I was preaching about Glenn's Practices!! Players were never held accountable at practice. If they messed up a play they just kept right on going to the next play until practice was over. Thank god we have a coach here who see's all the problems Glenn's had created.
