Pretty sure Granderson was generally thought as late first rounder early second, and Dewey was a lock for second. Not among the general public, that is, but among Wyoming fans.

I've personally never heard anyone say that Wyoming fan or otherwise. But if they did they were clearly homers without basis in reality. First round picks are extremely rare for programs like Wyoming which is why Josh Allen was such a huge deal for the University.

Since Wingard stepped on campus and earned freshman all-american, projections from draft sites have always had him between 5th round to priority free agent.

Actually I think you might be referring to one publication out there before Granderson's troubles that had Granderson listed at the very bottom of the first round before his legal troubles. It was clearly an outlier of a publication that was probably trying to project big surprises.
