So... I am sitting on my four wheeler at the bottom of a mountain in the middle of Utah. No service, nothing. Earlier in the day I saw droves of blue and white flags flying high heading south to Provo.
I look up the side of the steep mountain and it look like a small trail up the side. I go exploring and I will be darned if I don't finagle my way up (butt puckering at times.) Anyhoo, as I get to the top it is about 4:45 PM. I look at my phone and the good ol 4G logo appears. I logon, only to see the Pokes losing by two and FAU with the ball with 2 mins left or something. I put my phone back in my pocket, depressed.
"Dear God, I know Wyoming isn't your favorite school. It has been proven. Maybe you love BYU. Maybe Notre Dame. Maybe Southern Methodist. But, maybe, if maybe, you aren't occupied right now in Provo, Notre Dame has a bye....can you send some love to my Pokes? I am a good boy, God. I know you have a lot on your plate right now, but....maybe....just maybe."
I finish making all kinds of deals.
With a knot in my stomach, I log back on to Twitter and try and catch up.
I see 20-19? I don't believe it. I still don't believe it.
Speechless right now, guys.
God doesn't hate the Cowboys. Amen.
