IDK, I see a big difference between searching for a QB via the transfer portal versus a Facebook post asking for any student at Goat U to come try out. That looks like desperation.

You are correct, big difference pleading to to the student body to join your "team" vs. sending out a message that you are looking for a transfer QB.

Years ago, Brandenberg brought a player onto the varsity after he saw the kid playing in a pick-up game at The Half Acre. I think the player's name was Bob Ladoceur. Lots of talent has played in pick-up games at The Half Acre over the years.
