Gleeson leaving

They could land a sophomore JC punter with no problem. Shouldn't mess up the classes too badly. As far as all the JC's they brought in this year, they can finally add some depth to the positions they play. We needed to win now, so we needed guys in this class that can contribute immediately.

I understand why, it just comes with consequences. I've seen it happen before.....Hawaii's 3-9 season last year was a direct result of "stacking up" to win in 2010/2011.

That said, Punter will hardly be an issue. Should be able to get a good one.
 
But still, Gleeson had a slow start, but really came through from the 3rd game onward. Why leave? Homesickness (he is from Australia)?
 
I heard from someone that he was failing most of his classes towards the end of fall semester, but then I guess he passed. He was always partyin at the Buck. I'm not very surprised he is leaving.
 
I have heard through some people that he had said he was going to get kicked off, this was a few weeks ago... drugs

Have any of you guys seen this kid in street clothes?
He might be one of the biggest douchebag/tools there is on the entire campus.
He combines dickheadness, arrogance, hipster, justin bieber and everything big city...."metro sexual" haha
If half of the Wyo Cowboy football fans saw this kid in street clothes they would probably think he is gay and would say he is not wyo tough.
Not saying wyo football fans are all homophobic but he is one that you say..."wtf is that kid wearing"

Bottom line is he is leaving because he doesn't like it in Laramie. All of his behaviors line up directly to his dis-satisfied perception of Laramie. He is in culture shock, as a couple of you have pointed out. Not saying that he is great, tough, or even speculating on his sexual priority.......but the bottom line is he doesn't fit in and he doesn't like it here. I would also tell you that the coaching staff didn't appear to have a great deal of respect for this kid. Finding a punter who wants to kick at altitude should not be a monumental task. ;-)

I'm not saying the kid is gay, I don't think he is. It's just that the typical wyoming person...hard working rancher or oilfielder sees this kid and says "WTF" lol

The kid should be in a big city. He is not a small town kid...he is the "live the big life" type of kid.
 
He's definitely not gay, from what I here he loves the ladies. a little metro yeah definitely, I also heard he hangs at the buckhorn a lot. I even heard he got stabbed in the parking lot at the Buck last summer. I thought he was a pretty darn good punter though. He did get booted of the team, I just don't know why. :roll:
