Well, Sobey and Cooke will be playing throughout the season, maybe last night coach Shy felt it was better to play his best players the entire game last night?

Plus, when Grabau comes back Adams is probably going back to the bench.

Their minutes off the bench weren't bad, but in the second half I think the only time we subbed was for under 30 seconds when Luke was banged up. We were on such a roll Shyatt isn't going to sub, he wanted them to keep playing

We had the same type of depth last season. Really thin at the beginning of the year, but much better as the season went on. Nance, Gilmore, and Grabau barely saw any time nonconference, but they were a big part of the team as the season progressed. Shyatt is just getting the new guys to the point they need to be before they get thrown into the fire.

Agreed. And I agree with gopokes1399, we were just killing it last night who would we take out? If it aint broke, don't fix it.
But teams like New Mexico, who sub a lot much like Illinois State will be a lot harder to beat playing 35-40 minutes a piece for each starter.

Cooke has got to be the guy. I hope he can really step up and continue to grow as a basketball player. Good thing we get some more cupcakes for him to get some playing time before MWC play
