This is crazy talk. BYU doesn't want back in the MWC. They also aren't having trouble with some scheduling. This year alone they had Arizona, Utah, UCLA, West Virginia, Michigan State, and Mississippi State on the schedule.

What's the point? Do you get a trophy or something?

Money!? BYU doesn't want money, they have money. That is one thing where they really have their shit together. Six million dues paying members. What they want is more respect or to be looked upon as some sort of beacon. That's their mission. Football is just one of the many ways they push their agenda. Unfortunately, independence is working out about as well as a couple guys showing up at your front door to push the agenda. And, if you're playing football or any other amateur sport, it's the trophy that you're after, not the money.
