Get to the arena

I really hope that one game doesn't dissuade the entire fan base from supporting the team. Was it a bad game? Yes. When the season is over we will see a team that is competing for the title, though. They play hard, are good people, and they deserve our support!
Agreed! They should win in the Springs, and most likely will take a lump in the Pit. After that, I think this team could get on a roll. One bad game for the first time all season shouldn’t keep anyone away, but some fair weather fans will say otherwise.

Bad time to have a stinker, for sure.

I don’t think fans will come back until the students get to the games. Lots of students change the atmosphere to where people want to attend. Win the students first

The athletic department needs to get off of its dead ass and do something to promote fans to get back in the seats, especially in the Laramie and Cheyenne area. I’m sure with some creative thinking/promotion and fan outreach the situation could be vastly improved. Wicks has made efforts with the students, but can anybody name anything else the athletic department has done? 3 free games for kids club members per year is about all I can think of right now.

Its what happens when you have an unmotivated, unimaginative, overpaid leader in the athletic department. Nothing will change until that position is changed.

This "get to the game" stuff comes up all the time when we have sucked for a couple years. It's just winning. If we have a winner... The crowds will come. You can fiddle around the edges with promotions and re-seating if you care about the margin between 2800 fans and 3400 fans, but nothing will fill that building if there is not a winner on the court

I get that and it’s true to a large degree, but a lot more effort could be made and I believe you could have some success with it. You’re 9-2 coming out of non-conference and you could have beat a ranked Texas Tech team that just knocked off #3 Duke. Discount some tickets, come up with something. But nah, just get in the stands, buy the 4$ bottles of water and the 12$ root beer floats lol.
