First of all, this isn't your forum, so I can post anything anywhere as long as it is within the forum guidelines and rules.

Secondly, you turned your own thread into threatening a person with bodily harm. PokeAround posted a single line, and then you go on a tirade about how you'll find him at the game and fight him.

Lastly, you went from a fairly reasonable and calm post to threatening a guy with bodily harm because he posted this;

You probably have a better chance of getting Spence to donate than you do Dino Costa.

Which, other than a few words, was in line with 3 other people in this thread up to that point. Do you donate to the university? Don't know don't care. You're money. Does this rich guy? Samething. Would it be nice? Sure. Am I going to throw a temper tantrum and threaten someone for a single post on here that critiscized me? Uh, no. That would just make me look like a stupid, violent, bully.

Y'know "Doc", I've defended you in the past, but someone else in this thread made a pretty astute observation- you have two speeds- informed and articulate to thin-skinned and catty. Regardless of the pseudo-validity of "Ringolsby"'s challenge to your own contributions to Wyoming Athletics, a professional should know that discretion is the better part of valor. Getting vitriolic and airing your peers' dirty laundry (like it or not, all we see is the soiled garments, not the monograms identifying their owners) is hardly valorous and professionally sophomoric.

I think I speak for quite a few people who appreciate what you have to say as well as your passion for Wyoming Athletics, but your warp-speed descent into playground garbage talk definitely knocks you down a tier or two professionally. It's a big reason a lot of professionals avoid these forums, and the chief reason they tend to only occasionally participate under an anonymous alter-ego. I know these forums are important to you both as marketing tools as well as for the pure and worthy outlet for expression, but you also have to recognize that, as a known personality, as a professional, you are held to a different standard. Just or not, it is what it is. As Dave Christensen learned a year ago, stooping to the lower denominator to "stand your ground" can cost you far more than the minor wounds of a few verbal slings and arrows.

We're interested in your opinions and occasional insights as well as your humor and shared love of Wyoming Athletics, but I'd gently suggest you keep your personal spats off this particular forum. No one likes to see another man show his ass...

my grandma was clerk of Federal Court here in Cheyenne, oh the stories she said when he was during trials and how he would mezmorize the juries and some of the stories he used to tell her, crazy to say the least

He represented my uncle in a lawsuit and I got to meet and speak with him several times through the 80's. I also know a retired Uinta County law enforcement officer who was intimately involved in the whole Hopkinson case. He's told me some pretty crazy stories about working with Spence. I mean seriously "grassy knoll" crazy stuff. However, having gotten to know Spence when I was younger, as crazy and over-the-top as his stories are, the more think about it all now as an adult, there's some pretty creepy possible truth to them. Gerry Spence would do anything to win a case. Anything.

He is a jackass and he was the one that started to turn this thread into a joke. He has done it in the past as well. First, "Doc"...do you know how much Gerry donates to the University? I know he has donated a pile...willing to bet your salary 10X over. So, get facts before you make blind assertions that are uninformed, unfounded, and ill advised.

As for TR...wow, you jealousy of him is sickening. TR is a great promoter of Wyoming and Wyoming athletics. If I was TR, I would be turning your statements over to the authorities and filing a Restraining Order. Making verbal threats like that is very uncool.
