Geoff Grammar saying Edwards is next coach

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm not sure I would want to spend that much time around my dad in college.

Me personally? I agree. But for some people its different. There have been many times a situation like this occurs where a son plays with his father on the staff. Even without Parker I think Anthony Stewart would be a good hire. I seem to recall wishing there was a way we could keep him when Shyatt was hired. A very good recruiter.

It helped Oregon State land 2 Top100 recruits last year.

If he wants to be around his dad, and likes Wyoming, then hire him, and we get Parker, along with other recruits he can grab.

I feel like our basketball program could use a few more dads and a few less dabs.

This was the only drawback i saw from having his dad be an assistant. If for some reason he doesn't want to be around his parents then I guess so be it.

I doubt Edwards is going to hire Anthony Stewart anyways.

I went back to Edwards' and lil Shyatt's VCU days to see if there might be other coaches there to give a chance. The one that came up was Tony Pujol. He was with those two at VCU and followed head coach Anthony Grant to Alabama. He's currently in NJ doing AAU work to stay closer to his family. May be hard to pull him away from family, but a name worth looking at.

The other assistant on staff at the time was John Brannen, current head coach at Northern Kentucky. So he's probably out.
