It seems that Gary's issue was that he had to move back to Oklahoma because of the death in his family (at least according to the posters on that site), so, I find that reason a bit more valid than popping out of nowhere and saying that you're leaving the program (ACS).

Yeah, but i have also heard that it had to do with a girl... if a girl IDC if a death i feel for him and I hope he does well... But... if he wanted to be with the family he couldve transferred to Tulsa... but i do know that Stillwater is only about an hour from Tulsa but still... maybe his girl goes to OSU

Not the case. He quit UW for a girlfriend. And not juse once (he was allowed back one time).
