Future schedules update

Remember how we were supposed to play the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns last year but...COVID happened and it got cancelled. Later they rescheduled that game for 2026 with a second one in 2029.

Welp, the two game series against them is officially cancelled.

ULL had to cancel our series so that they could play Louisiana Tech.

Aw man! I have a buddy that lives just outside of Lafayette. Old roommate from college in Laramie. We were STOKED for this series. His wife is a Louisiana alum.

Yuck! Travelling to see Wyoming in Louisiana was appealing; Akron is not. Akron is probably the worst football program in the MAC. The only reason to travel to Akron that I can think of is that the NFL Hall of Fame is nearby.

I might be the only member of this board that has actually been to a football game in Akron at the old "Rubber Bowl." The local interest in the team was terrible and this was when Akron was not the doormat that they are today in the MAC. I seriously don't understand scheduling this H&H. We would probably be better off just scheduling a second FCS game in those years.

I sincerely hope this series gets cancelled before 2025!!!!

Side note about Akron: They have only been to three bowls ever!!!! The Zips did win one of them. The 2015 Potato Bowl over Utah State, 23-21, with, former Auburn HC, Terry Bowden coaching the Zips. Akron finished 8-5 that year.
