Some friends and I were in Vegas last weekend. We went to a piano bar "The Bar at Times Square" in the New York, New York Casino. 2 dualing pianist split the bar in half and pit them against each other, because the songs that have the highest bid get played (you put your money out there and they take it whether yours was played or not). They limit the attendance in the Bar to a capacity of 120 people at a time. These guys are fun, talented, and really loud, inside the bar it is equivalent to being at a rock concert, I think my ears are still ringing. They go on like this from 8pm to 2am. Lots of fun, anyway.........
At one point, they started asking where folks were from - USC, Notre Dame, Florida, UNLV, etc. and they would play bits of each fight song.....egging others to bid "Come on are you guys gonna let USC win with $25?"
Not standing for that crap, me and my friends put $45 in for Wyoming. We ended up winning and getting Cowboy Joe played as 10 of us plus the piano guys with microphones belted it out as loud as we could, I think all of NY NY could hear us-that was awesome.
After we got done, they said they got another bid of $50 for SDSU.......but they didn't know that one so they made up words, mocking them, and played it to the Notre Dame fight song...it was hilarious! Poor Aztec losers.
