Not a fan of the dome idea. I say we put in seat warmers for the one game a year that is almost too cold. Most games played in the War are usually in decent enough weather.

Seat warmers and heating coils under the playing surface to keep any snow from accumulating.
Its not just the cold...How many games have we had in the last 3 season with Lightning delays? Thats not against Cowboy Tough or make our program soft, thats an NCAA rule. Theres no getting around that without a dome.

The whole Cowboy Tough mantra doesn't mean shit if we continue to lose and can't attract the players to turn the program around. I have no proof that Wyoming winters hinder recruiting but I certainly can't think they help....A dome would help us become a better program (at least in my mind).

Wow the biggest hack writer ever made your board!! Kevin is a moron.

NDSU and Fargo still have a lot of interest in how Wyoming does, with NDSU winning another titles last year , any animosity that was left is gone now and it's bout a 80% love 20% hate for bohl here.

Wyoming hired the right guy, just need a star QB

Kevin? As in McKinney? Is this what you mean? Are you ready for battle, my friend? Me hopes you are referring to someone else. Nobody will talk like that about Kevin McKinney as long as I'm here to read it. Make your intentions known, sir. I'm girding my loins up just in case this means war.

Actually, ignore all the hyperbole mentioned above with the exception of me asking you to more clearly define who you mean by; 'Kevin.' Thank you.

I understand your concern about lightning, brother. But lets keep it all real. In the unfortunate case of a player being bolted by lightning it's gotta be a next man up situation. Cart the poor bastard off the field, get him to the emergency room, then send someone else in who can hopefully force a turnover giving our offense the ball deep in opposition territory. That's how we roll in Wyo. No excuses.

I HATE the idea of doming the War. Yes, the weather in Laramie turns to shit in November. Yes, there is a lot of snow on game day sometimes. Yes, there are lightning delays from time to time. Will all of that being said, sack up and get to the game! Football weather to me is a crisp autumn day with a little bit of a breeze. It's also -20 with icicles hanging off of facemasks. This is an outdoor game. You want a dome? Go watch arena football.

Haha no doubt.

I appreciate your enthusiasm Dino. My comment wasn't necessarily about safety as it was about the stoppage of play and pure ass pain for fans to endure super long delays for a storm 30 miles out that sometimes never even hits Laramie. Its BS and just as annoying and shitty to sit through as a November blizzard.

I understood you completely, B, I was just having some fun.

On a serious note, speaking of bleachers, I would love to see them ditch the rather unattractive steel bleachers, and replace them with a hard plastic variety that could be alternated between brown rows and gold rows...I think that would really pop and make the stadium come alive and look much better.

The effect would sort of be like this picture - these are obviously seats rather than bleachers.

This I am in 100% agreement on! That would be a great way to spruce up the war!

Weather becomes a non issue...Lets get to a couple 10 win seasons back to back, a top 25 ranking and the discussion is not the weather, but what does someone do about tickets. I got my season tickets now..you best get yours now! Now that is Cowboy tough going to a game in Laramie in November.

See you all on Saturday!

BTW: That interview on the Coach Bohl show with Eddie Yarborough, what a fantastic young man..

Those seats are quite big, so prepare to lose even more seating at the War... Capacity??? 24,000! Yay!

Montana could've been a sellout.

Yes sir, I believe he was. Indeed, he was.

We need to dome I-80

Not to mention I-25 and all roads from Casper to Laramie.

Nice idea, guys, but logistics alone kills the idea never mind the cost of building it.

You guys are way too short-sighted. Lets take it all the way and have Mead raise the money to dome the entire state. They can draw their inspiration from the set from the movie: The Truman Show. Lets go top shelf with this as well, I want the entire state domed with a retractable roof. One that takes only 20 minutes to fully open and then close if needed.
