Fresno vs. Wyoming Game Thread

Thanks for hangin' out w/ us this week, Yoda. Great game to FSU. Feel free to stop by anytime. :thumb:

Wow.
That was so flipping intense. I can't believe I just watched that happen. When Watts missed that field goal, I thought all the momentum was with Fresno, but daaaaaang.

Three more years of ACS - I hope and pray that he will only improve and look even better with more weapons after a couple of good recruiting classes. This win may have been big to sway a couple of recruits to commit to us. I guess we will see what happens now!

Congrats Cowboys.

You've got yourself a heck of a quarterback and a heck of a coach.

Yoda out...

Thanks for being gracious in defeat. I would've just shut my yapper and not logged on here for a couple of weeks. As much as I find you annoying on the MWC boards (where I don't even have an account), you've been nothing but the classiest of fans on here. Much classier than I would've been, had the roles been reversed.

WHOOOOO!!!!! Love it! And to every sports writer in the country that thought this would be a blowout, and that wyoming might be the worst bowl team ever, you all can shove it! GO POKES!!!!!!

I thought he was suppose to be a strength on this team? He's getting manhandled and looks silly out there. They are just picking him up off the ground and supplanting him 3 or 4 yards one way or the other. Very disrespectful of Fresno to go for it on 4th down inside their own territory, but when they can run over Unrein like that you can't blame them. The one time he does have a chance at the qb, he JUMPS in the air and the qb jogs around him for 9 yards. He'll want to burn this tape so far.
this post was locked but bet this guy feels like and idiot oh my unrein unreal, i about had a heart attack but what a game!!!!!!!!!! unreal my house is rocking go pokes!!!!!! Alexander and ACS are great gonna miss Bolling and the seniors but a bright future and wow is all i can say wow wow wow

The last two FSU plays were insane...

But these Cowboys don't know when to give up.. they just keep plugging away and they've come from behind an amazing 5 times this year. Great season. ACS will be something special before this is over.

This will have to be rated the most exciting game of the 2009 bowl season. I will be interested to read the comments from the national sports press. Now if Utah, BYU, AFA, and TCU can uphold their ends of the MWC.....

In all honesty, I don't think they will miss them more than on a friendship level. The ESPN guys were dead on. Wyoming had nobody this year who can beat you deep. That's why we've got SIX wide receivers committed, and several signed - three or four of them are sub 4.45 40 runners.

What do you think ACS can do with somebody who can beat their corner deep and catch on the run like Amos, Aiken, Lester, and so on? When our opponents have to respect the deep threat, guess what that'll do for Alexander and ACS running the ball?

There is the D-line (aren't they all Seniors?) that has worked their asses off this year.

Yes, defensively this is going to be pretty rough. Purcell is the only guy on the line staying, I believe? Fletcher will be a HUGE loss. He may not have great speed, but dang - he has every intangible there is. I'd be surprised if he didn't at least get the chance to try out for an NFL team.

He is projected as a mid-late round draft pick. He will be in the league!

You never know, though... Devin Moore was at one point projected as a third rounder, and somehow slipped into FA. Wendling was being talked about as a second round pick, but barely got drafted...

Wyoming players never get the respect they deserve in the draft, but they CAN make a difference in the big league. Just look at what a difference maker Floyd is. He may not have many 100 yard games, but he does pick up VERY important first downs in every single game.
