Fresno State @ Wyoming - GTS

I have a good feeling about this one as well. The sports books down here in Nevada are all nervous about this one. Carr hasn't played many cold weather games on the road during his career. With temperatures in the high 20's in the 4th quarter (at least I hope they are in the 20's), he just might start to stiffen up a bit. A few good hits on Carr and planting him on the frozen tundra in Laramie might make him a bit gun shy. I hope Cain brings the pressure and they knock him down a few times. I think Wyoming's run game shines in this one and the Pokes win by 10.

Would you mind elaborating on why the books are nervous about this game? Just curious, thanks.

Going out on a limb here and saying that the game will be close........during the first quarter.

Wyoming defense finally figures out (late 4th quarter) which players are Fresno's wide receivers and which one is the quarterback but not in time to make the needed stops.

Fresno 56 pokes 28.

Would like to see the game anyway but it's way late from where I'll be at game time.

Go Pokes

Probably a Wyoming team that has the capability of moving the ball with two weeks to prepare...in Laramie starting at 8:00 P.M. in November. If weather foreceast is good closer to game time, I would guess the line moves up. If weather forecast is bad closer to game time, I would guess the line moves down.

This (see above in bold) is exactly why they are nervous....Carr just hasn't played that many games in cold weather in his career. And DC is usually pretty good after bye weeks. This is just a difficult game for them to predict.

Thanks to you both on your thought processes. I'm looking forward to seeing how any sharp money possibly affects this line because as a rule, I don't usually bet on Wyoming but this game I'm getting down with several units.

From what I researched, and I'm not 100%, but it looks like in Christensen's time at Wyoming he has a 2-3 record after bye weeks.

This Wyoming game has worried me all season. The reason being altitude and cold. This is huge.

The key for any team playing Fresno is pressure on Carr. He does get deer-in-the headlights rattled, but he can kill at any given moment. Less so this season, but nevertheless it is still an existing factor. Fresno has excellent receivers, but dropped balls is no stranger. Cold temperature can aggravate this weakness.

Fresno has been good enough to be lucky enough. Fresno's "D" has improved as well as its running game, but it needs to keep improving game by game if Fresno is going to remain undefeated. I think it will be a close game and not foolish enough to say a guaranteed Fresno win. Fresno has had too many close wins against teams the outcome should had been known before the 4th-quarter.

Wyoming leads at halftime 24-14. Usual 3rd quarter bullshit and lack of a killer instinct ends with a final of 38-31, Bulldogs.
