These 2 kids have really surprised me, and in a good way. Even though they're Freshmen, they hit the right gaps, and hit them hard.

They've definitely been a nice surprise. It took them a while to come around, but I think that last game proved that they can carry the load. Also nice to see that they're ok with splitting reps.

It'll be interesting to see how they do against more experienced defenses. They definitely have some challenges ahead, but if they can hold on to the ball and make defenses not able to always key in on our QB because of their big play potential, then I'll be more than happy with them. I really want to see our power back do well as well, though. It's extremely valuable to have a kid who will get 2 yards no matter what the situation.

I wonder if the O line blocked AF better or if the RBs just played better now that they have a few games under their belt?

O-line has been doing a lot better since the Idaho game. From the Idaho game and before, there was very little push and pass protection. However, from the UNR game moving forward, they have improved quite a bit in both the running and passing game.

I just wonder how much of it could be the freshmen RB's learning the game and doing their job better as well.

That too. They both have been improving, but the o-line doing their job is a big part of it as well.
No blocking=Bad run.
Blocking=Good run.
