Four UW wrestlers headed to Olympic trials [UW]

Dying sport. Kill it now. Bring back skiing with the money saved.

I have to disagree as well. I'm kind of confused also, If you think wrestling is a dying sport, then what does that make skiing. I'm sure that there are more DI wrestling programs than skiing programs. I realize that UW had a very successful program back in the day, but I would bet in today's college sport scene we have a much better chance to be a national contender in wrestling than we do in skiing.

I'm happy that we have a great program, but they both suck. One is a leisure activity that turned into a sport and another is boring. Get rid of golf and give us hockey. The big schools got bass fishing. Now, there's a reason to get into grad school!

Actually Wyoming has won many national championships in skiing the last couple years....

CLUB...and nordic, not downhill as I assumed he meant. If he meant nordic that would make more sense.

Dying sport??? get a clue before posting nonsense! Wrestling is one of the fastest growing sports thanks in large part due to the popularity of UFC.

Outside of basketball and football...what sport drew the largest crowds at Wyoming?? oh yea, wrestling

I know, I know. But I could give a rats ass about wrestling, tennis, soccer, golf...and would love to see Baseball, Chick Softball, Hockey, and Skiing (both Nordic & Alpine) at UW versus wrestling, tennis, soccer, golf.

It doesn't surprise me that wrestling drew the largest outside of Women's hoops, Men's hoops, and Football, they were the most competitive (although the pool is shallow). Of course, I would like to see the comps vs. Volleyball as well, as they drew decently.
