For all you history / numbers guys...quick question:

When was the last time UW put up 50 on a FBS opponent? Honestly, I was thinking about that the other day, and I remember we beat Appy State by 50 or so, but what about the last time we scored at will against a FBS opponent? Tiller Days maybe...Dimel in the mid-late 90's?

I have a feeling the answer may be depressing!

Here's the complete list of ALL games in which Wyoming scored at least 50....

The biggest blowout in recent memory has to be the 66-0 dismantling of the rainbows. But the answer to this question I am pretty sure was that crazy game vs UNLV in 2004. Wyoming 53- UNLV 45.

It is worth nothing although, that the 2004 game we scored 22 pts in overtimes. Oh and the QB that day, the forgotten JJ Raterink.

All Time Football Record

First 50 years or so, we did pretty much suck. And a certain era in the early part of the decade certainly did not help.

There are four decades we were very bad in.....O.K. we sucked balls in....

1920s
1930s
1970s (due to the falout from the %^**(%&(* Black 14 mess with the basterds from Provo)
2000s (mainly because of Dimel and Keonning)

We did have the Fiesta Bowl appearence in the 70s, but yeah, the whole Black 14 incident pretty much screwed the program over and ended any hope of a national title.

If you look at the CSU/UW series, that would be a pretty even series had it not been for the first 20 or so years of the series.. we're pretty square w/ them otherwise.

Completely tied with them since the bronze boot was introduced 21-21

Actually Dimel was in the 90's. The Koenning debacle was in the 2000's along with Glenn. Say what you will about Dimel the man (I know he was a real a-hole), but he was pretty damn effective as a head coach while in Laramie. 22-13 in 3 seasons is very good; they were competitive for the most part, if he coached and had the same record in today's college football landscape the Cowboys would've played in 3 bowl games in his three seasons as head coach.

Yeah, Dimel did alright with Tiller's recruits (not as good as Tiller did though), but then he bolted for Houston never to be heard from again and left nothing in the tank for Koenning.

Dimel managed to find ways to lose big games late to Colorado and others. Not a big fan, but he did okay. It would have been interesting to see if he could have maintained anything at Wyo. Where is he now? I haven't heard of him since he left.
