First play predictions

Now that we are finally in game week, what is everyone's predictions of the first offensive and defensive play we have?

I predict for offense ACS throws a short safe pass to Leonard for an 8 yard gain.

For defense I predict, Southern Utah tries to run the ball to the outside and someone on our defensive line breaks through and stops the run in the backfield.

On offense: Read option run, RB gets it, weak side, gain of 6.

On defence: SUU trys the run, loss of 3, Biezuns - his side.

Offense - AA for 4 over the left guard

Defense - 3 wide play-action deep post, incomplete, batted down Prosinki

O- wyo onside kick recovered followed by SUU coach flipping off DC

D- sack for loss of 5

O- ACS throws a 60 yard pass with one of the new guys running it in. Just to prove they can.
D- sack or tackle for a loss

... by 7 with a new head coach, new system, ACS didn't start, 6 wins and a bowl victory later. UW by 24 and in the second half we call off the dogs, two and three deep play

You can use whatever excuses you want, 7 points is 7 points no matter what. One bad fumble or interception by a suddenly nervous kid, and it's a tie game. Could happen to SUU if they're not taken serious enough too... Michigan got owned by Appalachian State when they underestimated them, CU by Montana State, and so on.

Agreed, on any given day a team can lose. IF we are looking at Texas, which they are, we could foul up, but I don't think DC will allow his players to lose focus. This is too far into DC's system, players, coaches etc to allow for some slack school to come in and upset us.

The game last year wasn't as close as the score would make it seem, we were up by like two or three scores for most of it.

Im not worried about suu. We would have beat Weber by more last year if we had DC's system in and if ACS was starting. Robert Benjamin had trouble moving the ball against anybody last year but this year we have a qb with expearince running the system and we have decent players around ACS. DC probably has the team extremely focused since this is the only game we are not underdogs for a good strech of the season. We put up at least 30 on suu and our defense keeps them under 20.

Gotta start off with something agressive.

Offense. Shoot it. Open up with Trips Right. QB and WRs read the defence and find the hole(s). Run fast vertically into the holes and look for the pass. ACS fires away for a huge gain of 50 yards or more. Gotta make the defence work from the start....let 'em know right away that Wyoming controls the entire field.

Defence. 3-4 Formation. Crash Gold! Sending the 2 OLBs after the QB with their speed!

I don't know Christensen's terminology so I said in mine.

Offense: ACS and Mike Ditka read the defense. Mike Ditka hands the ball off to ACS, ACS "Neers" the entire SUU defense for a 80 yd TD.

Defense: SUU hands the ball off, Mike Ditka creates a whole and Hendricks tackles the quarterback and RB together.

Mike Ditka and one cowboy win 45-0.
