Looks like we got our first commit. 5'11, 175lb WR/CB/S Chad Reese from Tyler Lee High. I'm assuming we recruited him as a DB.

Excellent! I'm not super impressed with his stat line as a DB (100 tackles and 1 pick? Looks like a linebacker's stat sheet.), but we do need the help in the secondary next season. I have full confidence that HCDC and his staff know what they're doing.

I think you are correct in your analysis. He was a linebacker as a junior. Runs a 4.48.

A second verbal commit confirmed today. Kevin Palin, a 6'0 195 lb OLB from Houston, TX. I don't believe he had any other offers and didn't appear to be heavily recruited. Christensen really seems to be hitting Texas hard. I like the approach, as it's a whole different level of HS football down there.

You're correct... the staff is really hitting Texas hard this year. We have two commits from Texas already, and several offers out. Got to get that speed from the Lone Star State.
