Even if Sawvel coaches the team to a great record hopefully Reeves will be able to convince the board to let Burman go. It is not just football where he has failed, the entire athletic program has slipped. I will give him credit for some better facilities but nice buildings do not hide the fact that most of the programs are not competitive.

You would think it were safe to assume that June 2027 is the end of the Burman tenure. Even if Reeves wanted to make a statement and fired Burman immediately it could throw donors into an unknown. Letting him naturally fade off at contract end makes the most sense.

Even though he deserves to be publicly fired for the contract renewal and no one knowing about it
