That or Fresno's size advantage was really taking its toll. Or both.

But that was a bad call. Just because Huff gets a good hit in, does NOT mean its a targeting call you stupid refs!

We went into the game with the premise that we would run the ball down their throat. Problem was Fresno stacked 8 in the box and we had no plan B. There was no plan to drop back and pass on them. At this point I seriously question the preparation of the offensive coaches. It squarely comes down to coaching. We had no adjustments to make because they were not part of the original game plan. I cant understand why we never thought they wouldn't stack the box. Blows my mind :tickedoff:

Christensen has already stated that he has scripted plays and he doesn't care what the defense does he will stick to his plays. So translation is that there are no adjustments to be made ever.

I was there too. How many of those yards came in the 1st qtr? How many points? The D showed up for a while anyway. Did you see the CSU game? That's what it looks like when they don't show up.

The D showed up "for a while" does not mean shit. 600 yards is 600 yards.

The D did NOT show up. Nobody showed up. But that is not shocking.
 
The D did show up. They allowed a total of 14 points in the first half of the game. The problem is that when the offense couldn't get jack squat done whenever they were on the field, the defense kept coming right back out there, more tired than last time.

This game is entirely on DC's and Smith's shoulders. They weren't even near good enough. They put up less points on Fresno than Idaho and Cal Poly. Less than 300 yards of offense.

Those worried about Smith declaring for the draft early can probably stop worrying - the last few weeks he's shown some serious deficiencies that need to be worked on. Any scouts who have kept their eyes on him will have walked away crossing him off their lists for now.

ridiculous. The offensive line played their worst game of the year. Smith was running for his life all night. They stuffed the run and our receivers were never open. Except for Herron, we have no deep threat. If the receivers have speed, it doesn't show because they get no separation.

Wouldn't you have to actually make a second have adjustment to be the worse? 600yds and 48 points allowed and the D showed up. Let the delusion continue.

I believe you are exactly right on this. Our D was tired, their morale was lower than a snake's belly, and in the second half our D line was just getting easily pushed aside making holes big enough to drive a semi through.
In addition, their QBs could have had 30 seconds to stand back there and find a receiver if they needed to, but they didn't need that time at all.
