Fill in the blank: 'Somewhere Chris Tormey is...'

still a crappy defensive coordinator.

I would say that the d actually looked somewhat better tonight. Our o was responsible for at least 21 of their points tonight. 3 and out after 3 and out with Carr and the weapons they have just wore us down.

I agree. How many times did we try to run it right at three defenders? It was like run run then pass on 3rd and long. We should have been up on them by at least two scores at the half. This reminded me of Glenn frankly.

Come on now fellas...the defense looked good through the 1st quarter, after that the same symptoms that we've seen the last 2 seasons reared their ugly heads.

Missed tackles, no pass rush, piss-poor coverage, etc...

Stop it.

I didn't say they were world beaters, I just said they looked better. And really tired when our O kept crapping down their leg.

World beaters?

I never inferred you said they were world beaters.

48 points, and the total would have been over 50 had FS not tried to score on their final possession with the ball.

600 total yards on offense for FS.

They got better by how much?

You mean if this was a Tormey led defense they would have given up 635 yards?

Okay, on that premise I agree.

They looked better.

They are awful. No argument from me. Better is a relative term...and I think they did look better than when Tormey was there. Tormey's defenses gave up worse performances to much worse teams when we actually had an offense that was moving the ball and scoring. Perhaps we can agree on slightly less awful?

I thought in in the first 15 minutes of the game they looked better. Pressure on Carr, bottled up ball carriers, broke up some passes...after that I thought it was more of the same.

You are correct. I thought we tackled well, stayed in our lanes, and generally played sound football until the end of the 2nd quarter. Then all hell broke loose...again. And while it doesn't change anything, the offense didn't give them any semblance of a chance either.

That's all I'm saying too Doc. I thought it totally went to hell after the BS targeting call on Huff. It was like they were afraid to hit after that or something.

Defense was bad, offense was worse. Since the Defensive Coordinator lost his job for crappy performance shouldn't the offensive coordinator lose his as well.....

Hmmmmm....

Somewhere Chris Tormey is....feeling vindicated knowing that it isn't the coordinator's fault our defense is so god damn awful, it's the fact that Wyoming's talent level is DIRT.
