If you love university of wyoming basketball. If you love and remember Fennis Dembo in the 80's. If you have a instagram account. Go check out his nephew Sir, that's right his nephews name is Sir. He is six years old, loves basketball, and has the same personality as his uncle Fennis. Log on to instagram and search for _yes__sir_

He could put the U of Wyoming back into the national spotlight. Just like his uncle Fennis.
I was impressed with how poised Fennis was as a freshman in hostile environments. And I'll never forget how he stood there talking smack with Reggie Miller while at the free throw line during the WYO-UCLA Big Dance matchup. Good stuff.

The question is: Will Larry Shyatt still be coaching when Sir is available?

I will show him the UCLA game. His uncle gave him a DVD full of team highlights. He loved it, he is already talking about wearing #34. Do anybody else have any other game links I can show him?

Sir is going to start playing in basketball leagues and 1st/2nd grade basketball tournaments. My question is what number should he wear #3, #4, or #34. I want him to wear his uncle's #34. I also want him to wear his own number. What do y'all think?

Todd Helton who recently got his number retired by the Colorado Rockies talked about his #17 and why he chose it.
He said he didn't really pick it, but the team just gave it to him. He said that the man makes the number, and the number does not make the man.

Why is 34 special for UW? Because Fennis. Fennis isn't special because of the arbitrary #34.

Sir wearing #34 sets up for comparisons, and those aren't really fair for anyone, especially if Sir does eventually come to Wyo.

Let Sir pick his number, and make it his. Even if it is 34.

Just my :twocents:

Agreed, Fennis wasn't defined by #34, He gave #34 a definition.

Same goes for #23 and Michael Jordan.

I typed it out using Jordan as an example to start with but then decided using Fennis number was the right one but agreed none the less.
