Favorite Glenn and DC moments.

I make this post in anticipation of Wyoming football going to new levels, and not having more of the same.

And by more of the same, I mean, overall a below average team, with the occasional good moments.

Favorite Glenn moments:
Vegas Bowl- Beating UCLA
Listening to the Ole Miss game with my grandpa hearing Javon Bouknight break those tackles and score a TD
Flipping Whittingham off.

Other things I liked about Glenn: Hard nose, tough defense, ability to take down the teams we shouldn't (Ole Miss, Tennessee)

Favorite DC moments:
NM Bowl- Beating Fresno St.
ACS stiff arming that CSU d-back for the 49 yard TD, getting us the Boot and becoming bowl eligible
Howdy Doody

Things I enjoyed from DC: Explosive offense at times. Brett Smith.

Hopefully in 5 years we can talk about how we won MWC Titles, and winning MULTIPLE bowl games with Bohl, instead of talking about the 1 bowl win, and the occasional awesome play.

What are some of your favorite Glenn and DC moments?
Am I missing some good ones?

DC: The crazy win in San Diego Brett's freshman year

Glenn: Hoost Marsh's returns

You mean ACS freshman year?
That was the game where we were down like 21 and ACS led a come back.

Bretts freshman year was when Wyo took that huge lead into halftime and almost blew it.

Both scores ended 30-27 in San Diego with Wyo winning.

Yes I meant ACS. Tooley.

Marsh was awesome to watch, he was when I really started paying attention to UW sports, him and D-Mo

Glenn:

Vegas Bowl- my first in-Person bowl game. A great time of momentum and publicity for the program
Utah 2006- took the Utes behind the woodshed. 31-0 when it mattered (Utah got 15 garbage time points late)
Virginia 2007-23-3 win over ACC team in the War and it wasn't that close. Out gained them 470 to 100 or so. Coming off a 5-3, 6-6 season in 2006 that featured a couple of heartbreaking close losses (including at UVA by 1) along with some impressive performances (see above), it seemed like the Pokes had turned a corner and would be contenders in a tough MWC which was garnering national respect.

DC:

NM Bowl- Fantastic finish.
Border Wars 2009-2012- 4 in a row

ETA: God damn this was a depressing exercise. There were some real moments of excitement and hope with both coaches. Hard to believe the way it ended for both.

Can't comment on Glenn, I converted to my Poke obsession right after his last year as that was when I was really deciding to go to school here. For DC my favorite would be the 44-0 beat down of the Sheep. Also the 09 New Mexico bowl was pretty special.

That year that DC/Gregg Brandon converted to the triple-option spread offense for the AFA game. I thought we had that game.....

Joe Glenn had the greatest personality of any coach. He was also the coach during my college years so he'll always have a special place.
-Beating UCLA in the Vegas Bowl
-Beating Ole Miss twice
-Beating Tennessee
-Beating CSU in 2003 & 2006
-Powder River Let er Buck

I wouldn't call the DC era a compete failure. We went to 2 bowls and he brought some good QB's in.
-Beating CSU 4 times straight
-2009 NM Bowl
- 2011 season
-Bringing in Nike uniforms

Glenn: Chris Stutzreim coming up with a 3rd and long pass completion to seal the win over Tennessee. Sending out Joe Glenn in his final and rough year with a win at Tennessee!

DC: Josh Biezuns coming off the edge to tackle Mathews multiple times in the backfield as Wyoming held on 4 straight plays from the 1...giving Wyoming the New Mexico Bowl victory over Fresno State in DC's first season.

haha. I thought the same thing. Honestly, before even seeing this post, I thought, BirdGate and HowdyDoodyGate were what I remember the most. That is sad actually.

I was at the NM Bowl when we shut down Ryan Matthews three straight plays. That was pretty cool.

I have the Vegas Bowl on DVD if anyone wants it.

The 2nd pic of DC is from the FAU game in Boca Raton.

OK....I like Howdy Doody gate...... Nothing classier than having your daughter try and pull you out of a fight.
