Fan Board Meeting: Input Needed

I didn't make a home game at WYO this year, but I've been to other venues that had a designated "VIP for a game" seating. They had about 4 seats set aside and each game had a student VIP. The student could bring in their family or whatnot.

Basically, it was students who did something exceptional (research, academic, athletic in other sport, humanitarian, etc.). They were introduced and given a certificate.

Then they had great parking, great seats for the game, met the team pregame, got a signed game ball, a server who brought them drinks and snacks during the game, etc.

I thought it was kind of neat.

Wicks - One thing that should happen, especially for football, is the evaluation of brinking back the knothole section, and ticket price ($5.00 or so) for kids 12 and under - or whatever the age break was. Building a future fanbase.

After going to Vegas, I saw zero issues with having beer

This is all that is needed. All other blemishes or problems are easily solved with enough beer.

All kidding aside, WYO needs to serve beer. Shots are only available after a touchdown.

although many won't agree with me, I think it's time that UW understands which program outta the Big 2 they really want to be more proficient in Football or Basketball, and focus on financing one or the other just a bit more, it's truly apparent that we are not going to be factors in Conference Championships year in and year out for both. I think and it's only an opinion, that we should focus a bit more on Men's BBall as it only takes 2-3 stellar star players to be a factor in the MWC Championship year in and year out and make noise in a larger tournament, (ie NCAA) on a yearly basis. Yes I love both sports but I could see if UW would focus on one sport a bit more and specialize in that. ie do you want to be a Football school or a basketball school. Then if that other one does well then it's a bonus for us all.
Just a thought, other than that I'm ok with "most" everything else, except the ticket nazis at the AA...lol
Thanks for listening, it's hard enough to recruit "good-great" players to UW, if we build up one then maybe we'll see the fruits of our labors a bit more and not go such droughts for even sniffing the top 2-3 in conference year in and year out.

Yes if a beer company wants to sponsor us to help with upgrades etc....have a wristband program and let's join the 21st Century!!!

oh yeah one more thing.....if we are an Alumni of UW, graduate 1993....give us a bit of a break for purchasing tickets from the full price, even though we don't wanna be part of CJC, that ticket wouldn't go unused for sure....just another thought I've had forever

Yeah once the game is past the 3rd TV time out in 1st half and after the 1st quarter of a football game let the fans move down it not only helps with noise but looks way better on TV

Thanks all! I will be sure to mention your concerns at the meeting and update you next week.

Tell them you're from WyoNation.com.. just to see if you're escorted out of the building or not.

Meeting went well, I will pass along the meeting notes once they are finalized.

Thanks, will be interesting to see if it was a "smoke up your ass" meeting, or if there were agenda items that actually had some teeth.
